  • 3.

He had $500 and a pack of food; lived on beans and pancakes, was constantly lonely, but considers it all "part of the journey."

  • 4.

Knew he had to "live out his adventure" after watching his dad devote his life to a job he hated.

  • 5.

Started out as a professional polo player, but people repeatedly told him that he had a unique bond with the horses.

  • 6.

Defining Moments

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • I lived on beans and pancakes. I was really lonely. It was terrible.

  • I had a tough childhood, my mother was mentally ill, went through terrible depressions... she just had a lot of problems, so I had problems. When we as parents have problems, our kids inherit those problems, unfortunately. Until we break the cycle.
