Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
My interest in construction started in middle school while helping my dad with renovations on our house.
2.
In high school, I participated in a construction technologies vocational program, solidifying my interest in construction.
3.
I spent the summer between my junior and senior year of high school working for a construction company—the work and pay validated my interest, so I continued to pursue that field.
4.
After graduating, the company hired me full time.
5.
While working, I also participated in the carpentry apprenticeship program.
6.
I pursued an associate degree in construction management as well to set myself up for success if I ever wanted to venture out from carpentry to management.
7.
After graduating from the carpentry apprenticeship program and earning my associate degree, I was promoted to field engineer, where I now work as a problem solver for construction projects.
