Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
You should not work in this business as a woman, you do not know what you are talking about.
How I responded:
I do not accept negative words from ignorant people who do not know me and my abilities. I just ignored them (In all honesty it was hard to do because they were customers) and kept talking as if they did not say what I just heard. I eventually proved that I did know what I was doing and what I was talking about. As a Manager I was treated like the Secretary most of the time but I kept going with my duties.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I lost a couple of jobs due to closure.
I have ADHD and OCD.
