Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
The biggest "noise" that I've had to deal with is the thought, "You're not good enough." "You're too _________ to do this. Too ________ to do that." "It's too hard for you." And worst of all, "You shouldn't even try."
How I responded:
I felt this way for a long time. I didn't realize that I was actually doing quite well at a lot of things because I was so focused on the thought that I wasn't good enough, that I would never be good enough. Self esteem can be a hard thing to build back up after it's been torn down. But I was able to do it, which means that you can, too. No matter what demons you're facing, you will be able to feel whole again. It does get better!
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I spend too much money. I don't spend more than I have, but I do come close sometimes. I'm trying to combat this by making sure my bills are payed first, and then only buying things that I need.
I identify as a Pansexual female. I was never bullied in highschool, though sometimes I did feel excluded.
