I'm not smart enough to do that.
How I responded:
I had an experienced mentor who was patient and showed me certain calculations, analyses, and other things. I then practiced and practiced until I consistently got the right answers, which helped me develop more confidence in myself. I later went on to become an instructor/mentor to others.
