Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Family:
You have to finish college or attend college or you will not make it." "Being an entrepreneur is throwing your life away." "How can you make it in the real world if you don't have a JOB.
How I responded:
I have always been self motivated and never really been a subscriber of traditions.... Many of our great inventors had to fail their way to success! With that being said the best and ultimate teacher is trial and error. You will never ever know what you want if you are pleasing others! No matter how painful it may be you have to strive for the best possible you that you can possibly be. Food for thought: There are now 2170 billionaires in the world 60% are self made! Need I say more?
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Im a single parent of three children. I have been forced to work at times while building my business and career dreams so that I can provide for my household and not rob it. It wasn't easy although I never complained. The light at the end was visible
I left college in my second year to pursue my dreams. I had so many nay-sayers that it became a passion to prove them wrong. This drove me to become the successful person I am today. My daughter has also been a great inspiration for me, never give up.
