My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Always wanted to be a writer and set out to major in journalism.
2.
I fell in love with Public History as an undergrad-- I loved the idea of telling the full story.
3.
I pursued and received my Master's in Public History at Loyola University Chicago.
4.
Job opportunities were few, far between but I eventually found a job writing online textbooks.
5.
That opened up the world of curriculum and program design.
6.
I learned there were so many ways to write and inform students.

I found a way to work in education that allowed me to work around the less positive parts of the field --the testing standards, the administration conflicts, etc.
