My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
My mother told me I would be a teacher. My dad saw that I was good with numbers.
2.
I found other employment processing in mortgage departments while still going to school.
3.
I excelled in both of these in school and college.
4.
I saw the freedom of loan officers vs. the constraints of being a processor and transferred positions.
5.
While in high school and college I worked at a bank, starting as a teller ending in the mortgage dept.
6.
Went into the communities, saw the need for advocacy & assistance and it became my passion.

How I responded:
I just kept being me working with people that wanted to work with me and developed my own niche. I also did not put my picture on cards or profiles making people talk to me before the saw who I was so they could hear that I was knowledgeable before creating an opinion of me.
