My path in life has been direct
1.
At age 9 parents got divorced and I felt like it was my fault.
2.
Age 12 finally realized it was because my dad was “the man” I thought he was that he got divorced.
3.
My parents tossed us back and forth through custody and gave my family a low form of PTSD.
4.
I got to high school with okay grades.
5.
I didnt realize how much high school mattered until sophomore year and I tried to pick up the slack that I put myself in.
6.
I picked it up but when the loss of a friend I grew up with dropped me down, I picked it right back up again.
7.
I was on the edge about to graduate but I ended up having to drop out because I lived with my mom doing online schooling but I was kicked out and wasn't able to do my schooling and dropped out.
8.
Only to figure out weeks later that I will have a baby born later this year.

Messages from Parents:
You’ll never be a mechanic, you don’t have the skills.
How I responded:
I learned more about what I wanted to do with my life and I made sure I showed my dad that I do have the skills and they are even better skills that he doesn't have.
