I've taken a lot of twists and turns

I dropped out of college.

I worked framing houses because it was along the same lines as my interest in architecture.

I was electrocuted by lightning and forced to pursue a career that was less physically demanding.

I became a loan officer at TCF Bank.

I became a personal banker at Wells Fargo.

I was fired for a situation that was out of my control.

How I responded:
I considered the source, and if it was someone who had things that I hoped to have someday, I would take their advice. If it was someone who was in a situation I would rather avoid, I did not listen.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My first career was framing houses as an independent contractor. I was electrocuted by lightning on my 21st birthday and that caused some major issues with the discs in my spine. I was forced to take a path that led to a less physically demanding job
